Grape varieties

100% Sauvignon.

Both Bordeaux and the Loire regions claim to its parenthood. Combined with Semillon and Muscadelle, this grape yields honeyed Sauternes or elegant white Graves in Bordeaux. In the Loire, however, the Sauvignon performs solo-Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé are the vehicles for its powerful bouquet.

Description

VINIFICATION

Skin contact followed by gentle pressing. 15 days fermentation in stainless steel between 15 and 16°C, early bottling (3 tonnes per acre).

CONSERVATION

To be drunk within 2 years. Serve chilled (8° C).

COLOUR

Pale green/gold colour.

BOUQUET

Citrus hints with blackcurrant, gooseberries and a musky hint.

PALATE

Lively and fresh.

FOOD PAIRING

Aperitif but is ideal with grilled fish and shellfish.
